Kjærnes founded Cubera in 2006.

Prior to Cubera, Kjærnes spent 17 years in Nordic private equity. He established the Norwegian fund-of-funds Argentum Fondsinvesteringer AS in 2002 and was Managing Director until 2006. Before Argentum, he was partner at Kistefos Venture Capital AS, CEO of Stormbull AS and Investment Director at Industribanken AS/SND Invest AS.
